Bankruptcy Credit Counseling
Bankruptcy Credit counseling may sound scary but really it's not! The new bankruptcy laws state that you must get bankruptcy credit counseling 180 days before filing. First get all of your credit card debt, mortgage loan, auto loan, and any other past due bills together. You will need to show the credit counselors how much you make, how much your bills are, and how much debt you have. The credit counselor will be able to explain to you what your options are. The requirement for bankruptcy is a 60-90 minute session with an approved credit counseling organization. It is really important that you research your options. Check your local phone book, internet ads, tv ads, and ask your friends. A good counselor can mean the difference between bankruptcy and paying off your debt. This session can be done over the phone, online, or in person. I suggest online, this way you can take your time and you will have all of your information with you. So, look for some debt counseling or bankruptcy counseling and get rid of your worries!
