Free bankruptcy, surely I meant to write fee bankruptcy. Can you file for bankruptcy for free? Not exactly. There are ways that you can get the filling fee waived. But rarely will the courts do this. You can research some bankruptcy lawyers who will give you a free evaluation. They will be able to review your case and see if you are eligible for one of these waivers. Check your state for free bankruptcy counseling, or free debt management. You also have the option of filing for yourself. There is enough information out there, so if you think your case is open and shut, you may be able to file for bankruptcy without a lawyer. Do some research on the internet and you will find out that you can file for bankruptcy at a lower cost then if you were to use a bankruptcy lawyer. Of course, you may need or want the help of a bankruptcy attorney. In that case do plenty of research on the debt lawyers out there, compare there fees.
